Product Description
An attractive dwarf bamboo plant with large dark green leaves whose edges are painted with cream.

Veitch’s Bamboo is a popular choice as a ground-covering shrub because of its vigorous growth speed and brightly patterned leaves. Its thick layers of growth are good for creating privacy screens and its extensive root systems are great for stabilising loose soil on slopes and embankments. Originally from Japan, it copes well with the British climate and retains its vibrant colours throughout the whole year.

Bamboo is one of the world’s fastest growing plant-types. Traditionally from Asia, its hardiness means it can actually be grown very easily in Britain – visitors to your garden will be surprised and impressed to see it there. As a forest plant, it appreciates a steady supply of moisture and compost. And as an enthusiastic grower, you should give Bamboo room to expand, we suggest placing infant plants about 100cm apart.
