Product Description
A traditional example of a conifer tree – they hold a triangular shape during their youth, before extending into broad-branched maturity.

Native to some of the cold mountain ranges of Kashmir and Afghanistan, Deodar Cedar is extremely hardy and will thrive even in poor soil and with little water. The word “Deodara” originates from a Sanskrit term meaning deity and as the name suggests, Deodar Cedar carry with them a great cultural significance in the Indian sub-continent. Planted by gardeners for their size and majestic drooping evergreen foliage, they produces fairly large oval-shaped cones.

All conifers are known for their hardiness and resilience against the elements. We often think of them being heavily covered with snow during the winter, but they can look equally as bold and impressive against a bright blue summer sky. The size of conifers can vary from 100cm shrubs to 60m tall trees.
